 On this day, the earth lost its most precious angel as God decided she should return to heaven.  After many years of dedicated service as a mother in the church, a mother at home, a grandmother, great grandmother, and confidante, it was finally her time to go home.

Grandma I'd like to thank you for fighting the greatest war for me... The war to help me be a strong individual that is close to graduating college today.  Its sad I won't see you out there on my graduation day, but I know you'll be looking down on me as proud as the days when I was just a nappy headed little kid playing in the yard with big dreams of not staying trapped in the ghetto.
